Father’s Middle Son Doesn’t Look Enough Like Him So He Conducts a DNA Test on the Boy

Cole Hauser, known for his roles in “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Yellowstone,” comes from a family with a rich history in the entertainment industry.

As the third generation of actors in his family, Hauser inherited his acting skills from his father, Wings Hauser, and grandfather, Dwight Hauser.

Dwight, Cole’s grandfather, played a significant role in introducing Wings to the world of acting at a young age.

Dwight, an actor, writer, and producer, had his own theater group outside Los Angeles, where he involved his 8-year-old son in backstage activities. Despite Dwight’s early wealth and connections with golden-era legends, Wings did not inherit the family fortune.

Wings Hauser’s journey to fame was a rags-to-riches story. He faced challenges, including being blacklisted during the McCarthy era, which affected his social standing. However, Wings overcame adversity, arriving in Hollywood with only thirty dollars and a box of Pampers, caring for his young child as a single parent.

Wings’ early years were marked by sacrifice, discipline, and determination. Following a divorce, he moved to L.A. as a single parent with limited resources, even living in an empty garage with his daughter. Despite financial struggles, Wings remained dedicated to being present for his child.

Wings’ career in Hollywood eventually flourished, and he gained fame and fortune from acting and screenwriting. His relationship with his son, Cole, underwent significant changes as Wings’ career progressed. Cole, born from Wings’ second marriage to Cass Sperling, grew up with his mother after the couple divorced when he was two years old.

While Wings experienced several failed marriages, including his third marriage to Linda Blair, Cole developed a close bond with his mother, Cass Sperling, who focused on raising him. Despite not having a father figure early in life, Cole learned important values from his maternal grandfather, who worked closely with Cass to shape Cole into a successful man.

Cole and Wings developed a relationship when Cole became a teenager, with Wings instilling a passion for acting in his son. The “Yellowstone” star speaks highly of his father’s support and admiration for his career, particularly his role in “Yellowstone.”

Despite the challenges Wings faced, including homelessness and financial struggles, he found success in Hollywood. Cole, now a successful actor himself, celebrates his mother and acknowledges the influence of both his maternal grandfather and his father in shaping his life. Wings Hauser’s journey from adversity to success is a testament to the resilience and determination that runs in the Hauser family.
