In the wake of persistent rumors about her marriage troubles with Ben Affleck, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has canceled her upcoming tour, TMZ reports.
According to tour promoter Live Nation, the decision stems from Lopez’s desire to prioritize time with her children, family, and close friends. The tour, set to commence in mid-June, was intended to promote her latest studio album, This Is Me… Now, released in February.
Lopez addressed her fans directly through her newsletter, On The JLo, expressing her regret over the cancellation:
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” the 54-year-old shared. “I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
Despite circulating rumors of poor ticket sales, a source clarified to the Daily Mail that this was not the reason behind Lopez’s decision. However, according to Variety, Lopez had already canceled seven tour dates in March, including Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston.
“Jennifer made this tough decision this week, and she’s sorry to her fans,” the source stated.
For fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, automatic refunds will be issued. Those who bought tickets from third-party resale sites will need to contact the point of purchase for further information.
The latest sighting of Lopez and Affleck together was on May 30, as they attended a graduation party for Violet, Affleck’s daughter with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, who recently graduated from high school.
Lopez and Affleck, often referred to as Bennifer, have reportedly been living apart. The couple rekindled their romance and married in 2022, nearly 20 years after their initial engagement in the early 2000s.
