An audition can’t get any cuter than this. Seven-year-old Shaney-Lee, hailing from a farm in southwest England, enchanted everyone with his blind audition on “The Voice Kids” UK.
Surrounded by animals such as horses, goats, and chickens, Shaney-Lee’s love for country and western music naturally led him to choose John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” for his performance.
Before he began singing, judge will.i.am asked, “Have you ridden on a horse?” Shaney-Lee confidently replied, “I came here on my horse today,” adding an extra layer of charm to his already endearing presence.
From the moment Shaney-Lee stepped onto the stage, the audience was captivated by his cuteness. The judges immediately noticed his adorableness but were eager to discover if he could sing as well as he looked.
As Shaney-Lee started singing, “Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze, country roads, take me home…,” judge Danny Jones couldn’t contain his excitement and exclaimed, “That is the cutest voice I’ve ever heard!”
The audience shared the judges’ enthusiasm. Within seconds, they were on their feet, clapping along, and some even had tears in their eyes, moved by Shaney-Lee’s heartfelt rendition.
“The Voice Kids” UK, open to children aged 7 to 14, perfectly showcased Shaney-Lee’s unique charm. His mom fondly describes him as “definitely an older person in a little man’s body.”
The overwhelming cuteness finally got to judge Pixie Lott, who couldn’t hold back her emotions any longer. Shaney-Lee’s performance was a heartwarming reminder of the innocent joy and pure talent that young performers bring to the stage.
